Do you have a rabbit or bunny you have just adopted from your local breeder, shelter or pet store? Are you curious as to what you can and can’t feed him or her?  This list will get you started.

Diet Do’s:

  • Unlimited amount of timothy or oat hay
  • 1/4 cups of pellets per 5 pounds of weight per day
  • Kale
  • Tomato
  • Dandelion
  • Collard greens
  • Mustard greens
  • Red leaf lettuce
  • Green leaf lettuce
  • Celery
  • Carrots
  • Romaine lettuce
  • Escarole
  • Chicory
  • Dill
  • Cilantro
  • Parsley
  • Swiss chard
  • Oregano
  • Apples
  • Alfalfa hay ( as a occasional treat only )

Diet Don’ts:

  • Human Treats
  • Iceberg lettuce
  • Cauliflower
  • Cookies
  • Crackers
  • Nuts
  • Seeds
  • Sugary snacks
  • Breakfast cereals
