Post babies are here!

Woke up this morning to a pile of tiny pink squishies. Looks like we have 8, plus one that didn't make it. The nonsurvivor was no longer intact and one of the living ones has a bite mark, but I don't think that is unusual for a first time mom. The babies appear to have nursed and Holly was cleaning them so I think she's settled down to her duties. Mistletoe was just sitting with her with a "why does the bed keep squirming?" look on her face.
So far all we know are that there are some dark eyes and some pink, so at least there will be some variety.

Congrats! I'm sorry you lost one, but I hope the others remain healthy!

I did take pictures this morning, but alas I have no digital, so you'll have to wait until the roll of film is used up. I can't really say as they are cute yet. More like a pile of fat, squirmy earthworm segments. I'm sure they fill out a bit in a day or two and not look like bait.

Shocked LOL

Congratulations on the new babies! I've never seen newborn mice either, but I can imagine how tiny they must be.
