Got your shades on? I hope so because these are some seriously bright metalic colored mice! This is one of the lines I am working on and so far so good...INTRODUCING....Jewel Gold my female 14k who is pregnant...

I hope i didnt blind anyone...lol I know my mice are bright. They are all satin so the camera really loves them! Shaz

OMG Shaz, I've never seen such beautiful mice! Any chance of my getting a couple of the babies when your friend comes down to get your pumpkin? Or are you keeping them all? I don't blame you if you are...they're amazing! I would love to have a couple of little goldies, though. wink

This will be her second litter so we will see...she only had 4 in her first litter...deffiantly not as well produceing as my chocolate spotteds...largest litter from them was 16 and 15 lived somehow, I have a pic of them all in a coconut shell....I should dig that up for you. Shaz

OK here we go!!! Here is Jewels belly last night...big differance huh?

And the final count is TEN!!!! Crossing fingers that all are doing good and will stay that way. Check out those milk bands....Looks like 7 will be black eyed and two will be ruby eyed, and one I couldnt get a look at...the one with his head buried bottom right.....but I sure can tell its going to be a boy!

Will get sex count and better pics tommorow...mom wasnt thrilled about me playing in the nest since I took the paper off of them for pics, and to get rid of the bloody stuff. So enjoy! Shaz

If you handle mice from when they are born, can you keep handling them, or will them still be more observing pets, vs. interacting pets?

if you handle them when they are young they will be interactive to a point depends on the mouse, however all baby mice go through a stage of eep....which is right after they open their eyes...they jump out of your hands, off of you, crawl across the cage floor rather quickly...ext... you asked on the other thread of the two day old b day which colors and marking they babies would be...there you have it the first two pics, that is what the babies are going to look like. Possibly the third because that is their older brother...Shaz
