 I am wondering if is a good rat size cage |

i am wondering if anyone know if this is a good rat cage 24.5"L x 12.5"W x 24.5"H or would a diff cage would be better for them. as for Martin's cage is a bit to price for me since i live in canada. I am looking forward to getting two male rat sometime this year. not sure about it being paint on white to cover the bar or not it .also I am wondering if is a good size cage can baby rat try to get out of the cage. i also was looking at this size of a cage 32"L x 20"W x 67"H . hopefully i am making my clear on type  . i also wonder do male enjoy play as much or about as same female rat becuse i am looking for a lap rat and also enjoy playing with me and learn trick  hope you guy don't mind me asking about this cage as i a newbie about find a right cage for my future rat

The first cage is large enough, might be small once you fill it with toys and things.
The second cage you listed is HUGE!!! LOL!
Is the bar spacing too wide that you fear they could escape?
