I just got a job working at a costume shop and the owner was fascinated in the idea of my rats, so I brought in Stripe one day, and Locai and Mousie another. Well, turns out like four of the people working there already owned rats! Anywho, this girl Melissa came in today with a baby mouse in her pocket, and said she had taken it from her roommates snake cage. He had put four in there, and two were already eaten, and one was hiding under a log, so she took the last one.  He was such a sweetie! She decided to keep him in an extra ten gallon tank she had. Well, at lunch she went back to her house, and came back with mouse number four! She pulled him out from under the log, where he was shivering. Apparently he hadn't eaten in 3 days since he was in there. He has a cut on his tail, and a bloody ear from where the snake obviously snagged him. I might mention, the snake is venomous, so she was very ball-sy to reach in there (here in FL you can keep them with their venom with a special license). So yeah, she's keeping Fredrick, and I took home Feival, an agouti patched chap. He, of course, will not go in with the girls like Moo, but live in his own, spacious (3 rat sized) home. So, yeah, what a sap I am... :-p

So glad she took them.....poor little things, I always thought they would die instantly, horrible horrible thought, but the thought of the little guy hiding for 3 days.....he must have been terrified.....how can anyone do it?
