Post rats outgrowing cage!!

when i got my first rats about 9 months ago, when choosing a cage i took the advise of a local petshop owner, but realise very quickly that the cage i had brought was far too small (they grow so quickly) anyways i then got another of the same cage and joined them together which gives them loads of space, but now they are starting to get more squshy the clip on plastic levels can't support their weight and fall off! now i'm looking for a new cage and would like some advise from knowledgeable people :) ooh and if said cage happened to have room for two more cage mates then i might need the sucker stamp! thanks, kate x

Get a Martins R-685, it can hold about three rats, but if you want a cage that can hold 5 rats or so...I suggest an R-695, (which I have for my two girls!) http://www.martinscages.com/

Martin's Cages Rule!!

Oh, and before buying a cage always check a cage calculator to see how many rats it fits.

I agree with Emily, Defintely check out the Martin's Cages. Very good cages reasonably priced and shipped. Easy to assemble and made with rats in mind. There are a few other alternatives like the homemade grotto cages and the wire mesh/sterilite pan cages if you are interested and don' have alot of money.

I previously owned a Martin's R-690, and my two girls loved it. My two became three, and they still loved it, but I wanted to spoil them, so I bought a Martin's FNE-480 from a family with ferrets, and they have feeling extending beyond love for that.

Check eBay and your local Craigslist before buying from Martin's directly--I got the FNE-480, which would have cost me almost $300 to have shipped from Martin's, for $75 on Craigslist.
