Post Surgery went well.

I picked Nick up just minutes ago. He looks a little scared but who can blame him. He's currently grooming himself back into shape. The incision was so tiny the Dr used glue rather than stitches, so at least he doesn't have those to chew on.

When I went to pick him up just before they closed, I paid the receptionist, who sent someone else to fetch him. Then that person called up to the receptionist, who disappeared to the back for quite a while. I was thinking Oh great, he's ripped himself open, or is dead, and the vets have gone home so they're back there trying to figure out what to do. Finally the receptionist comes out pauses for a moment and then goes to a closet, and finally admits that they had temporarily forgotten where the vet had put him so that the clinic's resident cats wouldn't bother him. That put a nice chuckle to the end of the day.

Of course one of my friends is now referring to him as "Nick, the nutless mouse." Isn't that lovely.
