Update on a post-lumpectomy / Advice?

My rat Julio went in for a lumpectomy on Friday morning and he had a check up yesterday, he managed to pull out all but one of his stitches this weekend while I wasn't looking so the vet said to come in next Monday to get the last one removed. But that one was loose and I can only imagine that it fell out because now it's gone. Sad

Julio has been wearing an e-collar, do you think I should keep it on him so he doesn't pick at his scabs? If so, when do you think it will be save to take it off?

After this amount of time, I'd take it off. Chances are if the vet says he can wait till Monday to be seen and he's healing up well (there are no open areas on the wound) now it's knitted he should be ok. If he managed to pull out his stitches even with a collar on, he would have opened the wound as well if he really wanted to. After 4 days, it's going to have started healing well anyway so I'd go ahead and take it off. No need making him uncomfortable more than you have to.
