Where do your rats 'hide'?

Rats find the craziest places to take up residence. For example, Beans decided he'd like to take position in my oatmeal bowl from this morning. He peeked out of the bowl at me, and then ducked back down, almost laughing thinking I couldn't see him anymore..
What a silly goose!

Where do your rats like to hide and sleep? Do they play 'peek a boo' on you as well? The oddest places (other than my oatmeal bowl O_o) are my panty drawer, inside of a dirty sock they haul out of the dirty clothes hamper, inside of a large legal size manilla envelope, inside the toybox and of course, on the couch inside of my napping/cold night blanket.

The first day we had Happy in her Nursery, we had project board as a lid with holes poked in it taped on (although now Ive boughten a metal mesh lid to fit the aquarium) she chewed a happy sized hole in it and got out. Well I paniced on my lunch time when I came home and she wasnt in there..I looked udner the couch, under the tv..around my desks, through the kitchen and cat room- I watched the cats to see if they could show me where she was in their curiostiy- but alas, they were acting like she wasnt out and I couldent find her. Finally it dawned on me where her favorite sleeping place was, and I picked up my couch pillows and found her curled up, warmy and asleep on the couch, giving me a grumpy look for taking her cave away.

When it's time for the boys to go back in the cage after playtime Ludo likes to go under the futon and lie down just out of reach with an amused look on his face at my efforts to get him.

My rats enjoy hiding in my clothes while I am wearing them. Rolling Eyes

Generally, they all camp out together in an upside down chin-hut on the top level (upside-down so that they have a solid floor below them). If I let them out without the barrier up, God help me when it comes time to find them. They hide under the couch, in the couch, in cabinets, everywhere.
